Pramenskými cestičkami
Ateliér Salzmann
The village of Prameny is located in the Karlovy Vary region. It lies 30 km away from the city of Cheb, as well as from the city of Karlovy Vary. The cadastral territory of the village has an area of 24.61 km2 and it is part of the CHKO Slavkovský les. The village lies at an altitude of 725 m.a.s.l. and 127 inhabitants live here. The aim of the proposal is to ensure high-quality access for people and animals in the territory of the cadastre of the municipality.
In the proposal, we are working with a territorial system of ecological stability. In the vast pastures, we propose several hedgerows, biobelts and tree rows, which will create a more suitable environment for animal migration. We are expanding six existing local biocenters and two supra-regional biocenters by one newly designed local biocenter - LC Tábor. We are expanding the existing biocenter LC Starý křížek in the Pommerský potok floodplain. Furthermore, we propose two new local biocorridors.
The least preserved part of the road network consists of field paths in the vanished strip farming landscape. This dense network of paths served in the past to connect fields. In the past, this dense network of roads served to connect fields. The absence of a road network in the pastures adjacent to the village complicates the connection of the surrounding landscape. Several old roads still have a legible course in the landscape today, and it is these roads that we are restoring. The roads will serve not only as circuits for residents and visitors. They will also serve as long-distance tourist routes.
The landscape of Prameny is a landscape of water, a landscape of mineral springs, waterlogged meadows and pastures, bogs, wetlands, and meandering streams. We are making several selected locations of this functional, beautiful landscape accessible with the help of new routes and educational trails. Waterlogged terrain is difficult to pass through. That is why, in these areas we propose roof walkways.
In the past, Prameny was a prosperous settlement with stately houses, a church and many buildings scattered in the countryside. To this day, almost nothing has been preserved from the many buildings of mills, orchards, and hospitality houses. We suggest connecting these interesting, albeit gloomy, places with the educational trail we called Vanished Springs. This measure should ensure that the relics of the buildings are not completely lost over time.
We propose a system of pedestrian connections using radial and circular routes. They connect to each other and create a complete system of paths. Trails connect important Prameny locations and monuments. Newly designed cycle paths, hiking trails and winter cross-country trails will connect Prameny to popular tourist locations such as Kladská, Mariánské Lázně and Lázně Kynžvart. At the same time, they connect the village with adjacent settlements.
