two unfinished blocks,
two corner plots,
one goal – to connect people while creating a sense of home.
the northern plot – deep, almost without a block structure, lacking a traditional courtyard, set into sloping terrain.
I take advantage of the relief – elevate the inner courtyard by one floor, creating an underground parking lot without having to dig deep underground.
Above it, a lively space opens up with a workshop, a bistro, a community center, a children's group, and a shared laundry – a vibrant filter between the busy street and the quiet residential neighborhood.
The layout – scattered blocks – the "stones of the house" – bedroom, wardrobe, bathroom – the essentials everyone needs at hand. The rest – an open space where one area flows into another. Where the inner courtyard and the street alternate. Where the walkway is alive – with tables, drying laundry, and growing flowers.
Connecting apartments, linking them into one large unit across the entire floor. Maintaining privacy while creating a shared space, a communal comfort.
The southern plot – more compact, yet carrying the same principle. Individual private areas define shared spaces with their volumes – places where you are together yet still have your peace.
