Injenny - an IVF pen
Studio Tvarůžek
Injenny is an application pen designed for women undergoing hormone treatment during the IVF process - In Vitro Fertilization
The IVF process is challenging for many women, during my research I came across a number of posts on forums where mums-to-be shared their fears and stress associated with the process. IVF is often seen as the last chance to get pregnant, which adds to the psychological pressure.
A woman self-administers hormone injections over a period of 12-16 days, for which disposable syringes and needles are commonly used, and are not adapted to be easily handled in the home environment.
Therefore, I decided to design a pen for the administration of hormonal injections. The aim was to make the process easier and more comfortable, to relieve the overall stress during the treatment and hopefully help the treatment to be completed successfully.
The pen has a plastic body and a silicone cap that partially covers the needle, reducing visual stress. However, it bends during application and does not block the injection.
