We move to Libeň. We do not design a block between streets. We design street between blocks.
The street runs between two plots of the size of smaller urban blocks. There we will design a house…or houses. Will these be blocks, towers, structures, weirdoes, family houses or villas? We have no idea for now. A lot of bushes, trees, shanties and garages on the site and next to it there is a dense composed city. Five storeys and more. Plaster. Windows. Will that come together at all?
This time the house will have to accommodate more work, workshops, more rabbits, llamas, goats and chickens... and children care groups. We'll figure that out. ("Productive City").
Housing as usual. It will be less important who the investor is. In terms of work, it is an association of capital - a diversified source of money: 1. city/district/state, 2. cooperative and 3. private capital. How they share it is none of our business. They can do it. Laws? Still bad. Does not matter.
We will design standard housing. The most will be 3+1 of two size categories, 2+1 as well, a maximum of 10% of 1+1 studios (no landlords) and 4+1 of lower size category. A small apartment does not equal a cheap one.
A house is not just for the young, it's not just for the old, it's not just a starting home and it's not just for firefighters and teachers. A house is a house. The distribution of apartments corresponds to this. Some of the apartments are rented, some are privately owned. Not a small part of community apartments. For seniors, students, and non-nuclear families. The distribution of apartments, social measure, subsidies, contributions, and the like will remain behind the door of the apartment, they will not be directly reflected in the architectural composition.
And there will also be verandas, really big loggias and balconies, because they cost almost nothing and greatly increase the quality of living.
