Motol Glade
Studio Sitta
My proposal Motol glabe is based on two concepts - a forest and a meadow. In both concepts,
I tried to introduce an environment evoking nature into the space of the Motol roof. The forest
concept works with the creation of artificial forest groves using poles overgrown with climbing
plants. The meadow concept brings grassy mounds into the design that people can lie down
in and run around on.
The entire space is created as a fun game, the lines of the paths twist through the space and everyone who walks on the roof has the constant opportunity to find new nooks and crannies. It should represent the exact opposite of the hospital premises, where we find long straight corridors, a person is constantly under surveillance and lacks privacy.
The combination of creeper forest and grass mounds creates the unique Motol Glade.
